Chapter 1 response

From page 13-18 from " the Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri is about the conversion between Ashoke and the business man name Gosh. Gosh advised Ashoke to travel the world as much he can before it's to late. As a result when it is bed time Ashoke stayed up reading Gobol. Moreover instead of reading his grandfather Russian, he reads his engineering books to stay up  as his courses level.

On page 16 from " The namesake" Gosh told Ashoke to Pack a pillow and a blanket and see as much of the world as you can. In my opinion i think he wants  Ashoke to travel the world as much he can before to settle his family in order to improve his communication and social skill. For instance many people travel to increase their knowledge by viewing new customs which is a different way of living. You can notice that Gosh is advising Ashoke to go experience new things in life.
