1.-Technology is a big factor in this book because technology controls people. This society has no knowledge of what is going on in the world. The government controls people by T.V and filling many ideas that they believe to people.people are literality being brainwashed. Machines are controlling the lives of people, T.V are also watching people, so nobody can't do anything without being watched.Technology is a huge enemy to the people just because of the amount of privacy that the people do not have. Technology owns the unbalanced society in fahrenheit-451. In Fahrenheit-451, the positive side is that machines as helpers to humans. for example, the mechanical device called snake helped Mildred when she overdosed on medicine. It also helped people who attempted suicide. the other device is walkie-talkie which helped when montag was communicating with Faber. It helps him to response Beatty’s disturbing in the firehouse. Additionally, there are public transportations in order to carry people who wants to reach some place. Montag always take a subway when he commute to job and he also use it when he was trying to meet Faber. Another example in Burning Bright when the hound was chasing montag after he killed betty. The T.V helped montag because he could see how far the hound was away from him.Eventually the hound caught the wrong person and montag ended up getting away.
2.- We live in world in which machine does almost everything which takes away
some human being’s responsibilities . Self driving vehicles threaten to send taxi drivers and trucks driver to unemployment.Computer programs can handle stock price movement and grade essays exam can affect teacher’s job. and that raises the question who will benefits and who will consider the victim in this new world.Fahrenheit 451 gave us a picture about the result of using machines as an enemy to human being and noble ideas. In montag's society,the government use machines to spy on their people,control them and punish them if they seem different.Car as a Machine plays a big role in achieving this goal.In fact,Montag's society must drive their car fast or they will face penalties. The government simply wanted them to focus on driving and not wonder things around them, and authority will do the thinking for them. it’s a symbol to a way of punishment from the authority.In fact, we know that Clarisse killed by a car and Montag nearly runed over by a car. In ‘’ The sieve and the sand’’ section, the mechanical hound was described as a machine that is used to penalize people who are against the law. the authority sends the hound to determine people who are against the system. It quite explained kind of relationship between people and the government which is difficult for us as humanitarian to imagine.However, the use of drone in today’s society has helped drawing an image of how the mechanical hound works. TV in Montag’s society has helped spreading the government’s agenda that controls people by programs that push its bias.As result, a society of takers who do not produce.They receive information and structures from their government and they obey the orders.For example, Mildred, Montag’s wife, who spends whole time watching tv and has no concept nor clue is what life is about.In fact, she votes based on each candidate’s appearance and attraction on TV.
3.-what can be done to prevent this is we shouldn't leave our future in the hands of machines. because the society we live in depend on machines, machines are everywhere and it isnt something that a machine can't do and eventually if we have been given machines that much power after a while what are they going to need people for ? as in the book machines took over a paramedic job which people first use to learn but eventually left it up to machines because it seem “easier”. machines are a enemy to people simply because look for 20 or 30 years from now machines are going to put humans out of work ? And without jobs how are we going to survive ?. so basically what us as humans should do is not let machines be that “shoulder to lean on” we should be our own shoulder let us depend on ourselves and not depend on machines to always be there. So what should happen is give machines enough power that can help us but at the same time limit their power so they won't become a hindrance to society in the future.
